We finally know when Tonko House’s (The Dam Keeper) second short, Moom, will debut, and it’s very soon! After the release of The Dam Keeper, we’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of Tonko House’s second short. We already knew that it was coming this year, but it looks like it’s coming sooner than we thought it would.
Today, it was officially announced that Moom will premiere at the Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose next month. The short will have several screenings at the festival starting March 1, 2016. To announce this news, we got a new painting by Hiro Nagasuna, but we also got a new poster and clip about the making of the short (featuring storyboards and animation tests) earlier this week. Check them out below!
There will be three screenings of Moom at the festival, and if you are in the area, you can now buy tickets. A part of the Tonko House Moom crew, including directors Robert Kondo and Dice Tsutsumi, will be at the 3/5 (March 5th) screening, so if you are there, you’ll be able to meet them. Order tickets here! After debuting here, the short will most likely travel to other film festivals around the globe.
Moom will premiere at Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose starting March 1 to March 13, 2016.
What do you think of this news and the newly released poster and Making of Moom clip? Are you excited to see the short?
