Sterling K. Brown and Evan Rachel Wood are in talks to star alongside Anna and Elsa in the kingdom of Arendelle as voice actors for Frozen 2.
Brown and Wood are best known for their work on television shows This is Us and Westworld, respectively, and both actors received Emmy nominations this year for said work. Brown recently starred in Black Panther as N’Jobu, the father of Erik Killmonger, and he will grace the big screen again in September for The Predator. Wood voiced fairy princess Marianne in 2015’s Strange Magic.
Frozen, released in 2013, was a smash hit for Disney. The film received both the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film and the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film, both in 2014. The movie also holds the title of highest-grossing animated film, launching the world into a true Frozen frenzy with its music, merchandise, and more.
It has not yet been revealed who Brown and Wood will voice, but it’s confirmed that the original cast– Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, and Josh Gad– will return for the sequel. Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck will once again share the director’s seat, and Peter Del Vecho will be back as producer. Lee will also write the script, just as she did for Frozen.
Frozen 2 will debut in theaters on November 27, 2019.
