If you’re an Animation Addict like us, then you know all too well the happiness, excitement, and frustration of waiting for the release of a new, anticipated animation film. So what better way to show this than using GIFs from various animated films and shows that sum up waiting for an animated movie?
First there’s that amazing moment when the animated film you’ve been waiting for gets a trailer.
There isn’t a moment to waste. You watch the trailer once…maybe twice. Okay, ten times.
You become so overwhelmed by the trailer’s pure awesomeness.
You’re even more excited than before and do a little dance of joy.
You start the countdown but you’ve got a long way to go.
You tell people how excited you are for the movie—whether they want to hear it or not!
You don’t understand why they’re not getting as excited as you are.
If only you could move time along faster.
You try to avoid any big spoilers that come your way.
You’ll run away from conversations and fan speculations to avoid knowing too much about the movie.
You even think it might be better to hide from the world until the release day.
The frustration starts when you watch other movies at the cinema. How you wish it was the one you’ve been waiting for.
Your frustration rises when it’s released early in a different part of the world. Or worse, an advanced screening you can’t get to. Why?!
That awful moment when you find out someone you know has seen it before you.
They promise not to give away spoilers, but they rave about how good the movie was.
You can’t seem to focus at school. It’s so close to the release day!
The work week seems so much slower than usual.
When the day finally arrives you can’t quite believe it.
You urge your friends or family to hurry up. Don’t they know this is the big day?
You’re now waiting in line to get tickets. You want to urge people in front to hurry up. You’re so close!
Even the guy at the counter is taking his time today. Is he doing this on purpose?
You have your ticket. You sit down. You’re finally seeing the movie.
There’s a brief moment of worry. What if it’s not as good as you hyped it up to be?
Thankfully, it’s amazing! You love it and you don’t care who knows it!
When you leave the cinema you feel a sense of accomplishment and pride.
You’re satisfied once more.
Until the next animated movie is announced and it begins all over again.
Does this seem familiar to you? What do you think the worst thing is about waiting for an animated movie?
