If you’re a fan of the recent Alvin and the Chipmunks film series, you’re about to be very happy. According to ComingSoon, a fourth film has been announced. It’s due for release on December 23, 2015.
The film, entitled Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, will have Jason Lee, Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Jesse McCartney reprise their roles as Dave Seville and the voices of the Chipmunks, respectively. Also, actor Tony Hale (Veep) has been cast as the film’s villain.
Randy Mayem Singer (Mrs. Doubtfire) has joined the film as the screenwriter and Walt Becker (Wild Hogs, Old Dogs) is set to direct the film. Other than that, we have no news on what the plot will be or whether the Chipettes will appear in this film.
Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip will hit theatres on December 23, 2015.
