We’ll get our next big look at Big Hero 6 this Tuesday, July 15, when Disney releases the first main Big Hero 6 trailer for the film online.
The teaser debuted in May to great acclaim from fans, and momentum will only pick up from here. The new Big Hero 6 trailer arrives just in time to (presumably) play theatrically with Planes: Fire and Rescue beginning July 18.
By comparison, this time last year we were still salivating (or pondering) over Frozen‘s teaser trailer, which debuted mid-June. It wouldn’t be until late September that we’d get Frozen‘s first full-blown trailer, so Disney is definitely picking up the pace with Big Hero 6. Perhaps this is to make sure it succinctly and immediately defines to the public what the movie is, one of the few things Frozen‘s campaign didn’t get quite right at first. (Olaf and Sven fighting over a carrot, anyone?)
In other departments of Big Hero 6 marketing, Baymax has his own spread in this year’s ESPN Body. Here’s the full ad:
Also via YouTube, Walt Disney Animation Studios is also letting slip small glimpses of Baymax’s character, including his voice.
Big Hero 6 hits theaters November 7. Watch the first trailer here.
