It’s casting day… it’s casting day!
Following the season three finale revealing Elsa as a surprise character, Once Upon a Time just announced who will play two other Frozen favorites. ABC will welcome Elizabeth Lail, in her first major performance, as Anna and Greek‘s Scott Michael Foster as Kristoff. Elsa’s casting decision is still to be announced.
Rather than retelling the story of Frozen in a new way like many other fairy tales portrayed in the series, the Arendelle story arc will instead take place after the Disney film. The only detail revealed so far is that Kristoff is getting used to living inside the castle, having lived outdoors his entire life. How (and more importantly, why) did Elsa get from Arendelle to Storybrooke? We’ll have to wait to see!
How much significance Frozen will have to season four’s main story is still under wraps, but if the pattern of season three remains in tact, we can expect Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff to have a huge spotlight from the season premiere in September through the midseason finale in December as the first half of the season’s main focus.

[UPDATE] 7/3/14 3:14 PM PST – Looks like all the Frozen casting is rolling in. Just a few days after the actors for Anna and Kristoff were announced, we got word of who would play the iconic ice queen Elsa. EW (via Hypable) reports that Georgina Haig will play Elsa.
Haig’s acting credits include Fringe and Reckless, but not doubt this will be her biggest role yet. The world fell in love with Elsa as an animated character and patrons at the Disney parks have been waiting over 5 hours to see the face characters of Anna and Elsa. Haig’s role will no doubtedly bring even more attention to Disney’s most popular and high profile princess.
Once Upon A Time season 4 premieres this fall on ABC.
